Chambers acts had a fantastic Montreal Just For Laughs Comedy Festival, with a series of critically-acclaimed shows and appearances across the run.
The formidable Jimmy Carr walked away with the inaugural Roastmasters Invitational Championship, seeing off competition such as Wil Anderson, Tom Ballard and Joe Derosa on his way to being crowned overall champion of the putdown. Jimmy also performed to riotous acclaim as part of the infamous Nasty Show and compered the Brit-ish line-up on two occasions.
Sarah Millican enjoyed a fantastic Just For Laughs, her debut appearance at the American continent’s premier comedy festival. Performing her own solo show Outsider and twice as part of the Brit-ish line-up show, Sarah also starred on Wanda Sykes gala show, a performance described as a festival highlight by the Montreal Gazette.
Also wowing audiences was Pippa Evans, who performed as part of the Brit-ish line-up and received rave reviews for her unique brand of musical comedy.
And last but by no means least, Stuart Goldsmith also had a brilliant festival, garnering great reviews for his spots on the Brit-ish line-up (“perhaps the funniest of all” – Exclaim!) and securing a number of high-profile guests for The Comedian’s Comedian Podcast, including a live show with the legendary Patton Oswalt.
